Opinions on the decals on this m34 police helmet

I should know by now on these but it's always safe to get a second opinion, this was offered in trade for another helmet I have, here's pics of the decals

Hi, what does the inside of this one look like? I only ask as the paint and decals all appear to be on top of pitted areas to the shell? It may just be a poorly manufactured piece to start with but it does give me concerns that it may be a complete re-paint etc. Leon.
