Original WW2 helmet chinstrap?

The seller sale this chinstrap as ww2 original... what dot do you think?
May it be an original one?

Yes the buckle is a crudely stamped copy.

Apart from the stitching and the buckle, the holes are all over the place and too round, i was always led to believe that the eyelet holes should be slightly elongated

For me a junk strap. Dave, I have a M40 police helmet with a strap tht has almost perfectly round holes. Came from Ken N. I'll see if I have a pic.

The chinstrap i genuine and WW2 period ,but is from Bulgarian M36 German made helmet.
