Painted Heer on m42

Article about: Is there any reason one would paint a heer decal on a helmet during wartime? Do I assume this bit of helmet art is certainly postwar? Just curious.

To me the liner looks ok. It is marked on the rear side of the skirt with EF. The pins look pretty tight. I guess you noticed that it is also named. What do you think?

I think best case scenario it's a GI art helmet. Worst case it's post war junk painting. I'd like to see a closer pic of the name. A lot of junk named helmets out there. Is it being sold, and if so how much?

Here's the name. The helmet was on Ebay, but was removed. Starting bid was $350.

Is it my bad eyes or does the name look like it was painted over the rust?..
It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.
