Please help identify helmet kriegsmarine ?

I go to a lot of estate sales here in kansas and came across this helmet this morning. I have had a kriegsmarine in the past and ended up selling it at a local military show. From what i remember the composition of the decal resembled gold flakes. This one looks similar, can anyone verify if this is a kriegsmarine and if not any information would be greatly appreciated, identification, value, etc. Thanks in advance, brian - i am looking to sell

That is a VERY NICE M16 Austrian transitional Heer helmet. It has an early unreinforced single aluminum banded liner with excellent leather and a complete chinstrap. It appears that the tricolor was scraped, but the Heer Adler is in great shape. It is a very nice helmet indeed. Jim G.

I agree its a fine helmet but not KM .Sometimes heer decals get a yellow gold look from patina but there's a telltale way to know if its KM. the shadow behind the Swazi .
