Possible Blood Quist M42

Article about: M42 Q64 Lot Nr. DN543 Liner is discolored and missing in places, supple in others. I only know what I have read, but it looks similar to pictures of other blooded samples to my unschooled ey

Won't really comment on the liner, but that is one nice looking M42!

Looks like it could be blood stained and has rotted part of the liner. A Quist m42 is not something you see every day. Nice catch.

Q M42 is extremely rare. This is only the second I have ever seen.

Thank you, everyone has made me feel welcome! I will try to tamp down my enthusiasm for posting my helmets for a bit

A Q M42 still eludes me, I have been looking for one for decades. Nice helmet. The liner is a grim reminder of the cost of war. Jim G.

Thank you. Beginners luck, second helmet I bought. I had intended originally to exclusively collect Quist helmets; I quickly realized that that limited my options.
I only learned after study that Q42s were a somewhat rarity.

Rare indeed. I would have snapped it up in almost any condition!

Well done, a super helmet and the wearer certainly appears to have been a battle casualty. Leon.
