    Correct, these are both post war German border gaurds helmets, based on the WW2 design but very easy to tell apart. For example the liner and the lack of rivets on the exterior of the helmet.

    Danny is correct on these.........

    There are noticeable perforations on the liner, and there are no vents
    or rivets on the exterior.

    OK,,,I wasnt wrong in my thought process,,,,. How long did they use these before the newer design?
