Q66 M42 repaint?

Article about: I have seen this for sale locally. It looks to have been repainted at some time in i's life. Not sure about the liner as well - washed out Norwegian liner? Any help appreciated.

    Judging by the pitting inside the shell it is obviously a relic that has been repainted. It would be helpful to have additional photos of the liner. Also, check to see if it is marked or dated. NH

    Not one I would buy. Even the Quist font looks unusual. Quist M42s are rare. Member Kradspam has one, he might be able to compare it with his. I also give thumbs down on the paint and liner.

    Yup, and it doesn't look like that at all. They are always size 64 and the lot nr always starts DN, usually DN5xx. Sorry bud this is one to avoid.

    It appears to be a reworked helmet,sand paper marks at the air Vent holes
    the liner has been removed and an attempt to lighten the liner itself.
    and chin strap has been sanded to age it.


    Walk away from this one.
