Rad Helmet

Does anyone know anything about this helmet. I am thinking of buying one does anyone have any idea of value so i am not ripped off.

It is interesting helmet indeed, and it appears to be an original item, but others on the forum, myself included, probably want to know more about it, so please inform us of what you know to justify why you feel it is "original for sure".

Stu, If you are able to show more detailed images of the two decals and some images of the helmet's lining, that would be interesting also.

Look at the ventilation holes.
They have the roster (i don`t now how to tell in proper english).
But everyone who has seen a ddr firbrigade knows what i mean.

I own a original ddr firebrigadehelmet so i know one when i see on.
I paid 5 euro for that piece.

Absolutely correct. A post War DDR fibrehelm. The insignia are fantasy configurations. If the original poster can show pictures of the liner and the metal rim around the apron we will be able to explain much more easily why this is obviously a humped up post War helmet. Jim G.
