Reading writing in helmet

I have a new helmet coming and will post pictures when it arrives. But I have a question I can not read the name in the helmet, can some help translating the writing. Thanks. This is the only picture of the name I have. Marty

First part looks like a short version of Unteroffizier. Name appears to be Sarnoch - a known German family name. NH

Neil I thought the first part was a rank but I am not up on my German. So we can say he was a NCO Thanks for the help. Marty
