Repainted Luftschutz

After a long week of work related training, I'm back, with a new helmet! Got it this week in a local, private sale, from a veteran's son. I can't find any maker marks anywhere on this helmet. It has me thinking early police helmet, repainted for the Luftshutz. In some areas there is black paint peaking through the blue/gray paint. There is overspray paint on the cork and the leather tabs for the neck guard. They went heavy on the paint on the top of the dome and it ran down the sides, around the split pins as shown. Very thing coatng of paint on the inside of the skirt. Chinstrap is a carbine hook type, which has me thinking they never removed the liner and strap, just repainted it with spray. The inside of the dome above the cork is still in black paint. Size 57 liner. Those are my opinions, now looking forward to your opinions and observations! Thank you.

Nice square dip civic helmet, somewhat unusual apron tabs that extend past the chin straps, normally they are mainly to the rear to protect the neck area only

No, it is a correct helmet chin strap with a carbine clip configuration used on many helmet models, combat and civil, from 1918 through the mid 1930's.

By the way, I really like this helmet. Great 100% correct repainted example in a rare color.
