Paints a little blotchy decals look like they've been liberated but other than that it's a nice helmet! Wouldn't call it a relic at all
Hello, I think this one was post war over painted and some sensible fellow stripped it back to somewhere near what it should be. It has the nice early brass pins and you can even see crazing on the decals from when lacquer was originally applied. Yes I have seen better looking helmets , but for what it is, it is a fine DD HEER helmet( as long as it was not to expensive!!). Leon.

Hi Helldude,
I like it. Definitely seen some wire wool ! Any chance of a picture of the liner?
Cheers.
nothing wrong with that.
Agree with Leon, post war black paint stripped off
2 layers grey and black
It's a original M-35DD painted by someone as the boys have stated I have had a couple stripped just depends how much you want to spend and what you want to do with it mine I used just for display, one I put a cover on I've seen and had some pretty good jobs removing post war paint that one is a fair one. timothy
Like the guys who have already mentioned, not too bad an example of a lid that has had a post war layer of black paint removed to reveal it's period paint and decals.
I've seen a lot worse, and this one still presents quite well.
I too, would also like to see some pics of the inside as requested by centigas.
Brad.
