Default SD Heer helmet. Real of repro decal?

    Hello,

I can get my hands on this m40 SD heer helmet it has some loss of paint but i stil like this helmet. But im not 100% sure on the decal. It looks original when i compare it with originals on this forum. But it looks strange that all of the paint around it has gone but that the decal is still for 90% intact.
Also i dont think that the liner drawstring is original to the liner but i could be wrong about that.

Is this helmet good or shall i pass this one?

Something looks odd to me with the finish like it has been stripped.
    I would be wary myself.

It's a good decal but the photos are too poor to make anything of the paint.
I would first request better photos.

I kinda like the looks of it... I too would want better pictures or an in hand, but I personally think it has a chance, based on what I see. The two posters above me have much more experience than I do, so, listen to them first. I do notice that there is a loose liner pin, so that would be another point to inspect. I hope you can get some better pictures, and please share them with everyone!

Hi, I think you have made a good decision Henk, it does appear to have been messed with. Leon.
