    Hi guys!

Here is my first helmet in a year. I got this from the MAX show this past weekend. I traded a rough condition fixed bale M1 for it. I don't think it was a bad trade at all.

The liner band in this helmet is dated 1940, and the shell is an EF64 with lot number 1348. The decal (a Pocher?) is worn, as is the liner, but not enough to ruin the helmet for me. The chinstrap, I am pretty sure, is a reproduction. It has a really nice combat-worn feel to it, and those are my favorite kinds of helmets.

I was hoping to walk out of the show with my first Luftwaffe helmet, but I am just as satisfied with this one. It's not in the best condition or the most special of helmets, but it does have a great combat-worn look and feel and I am sure I will find someone eventually who wants to trade a Luftwaffe helmet for it.

Here are pics of the helmet and the way she looks when she is sitting next to her family.

    Hello Mo,

Nice new addition to the family, congratulations! I agree with you about the "feel" from lids such as this piece, a very good example of a "been there" helmet.

    Regards,

    Carl

    Looks great, Mo!

I'm disappointed I didn't get a chance to make it to the show... Oh well... there's always next year!

In the last pic, the helmet looks tiny and your hands look HUGE!

haha, It must just be the angle I am holding it. The one next to it on the shelf is a size 62. I think it belonged to a kid or something because the helmet is ridiculously small.

    Glad you like the helmet.

    Thanks guys!

I've got an SS relic on the way and I still have my eyes open for a Luftwaffe. I will be temporarily satisfied when I have all 4 main branches. (Note the Kriegsmarine M40 on the far right.)

Nice Heer there, Mo, not too sure on the strap either although it does have a genuine makers name, but that was a good trade
