SD Luftwaffe Helmet.

Hey, thanks everyone for the help. I'll update you when the helmet comes and then I'll send it back, assuming he will refund me. He said "wait until it arrives first and check it out for a few days first" claiming it is authentic, so we'll see if I will get my refund.

Instead of creating a new thread, I'm going to seek help before I possibly buy another... does this single decal Luftwaffe helmet seem okay to you guys? It's on a militaria site not eBay, I won't even look on eBay, or at least until I know what to look for when it comes to fakes. Here's some pictures from the militaria site.

First glance looks ok. On my tiny cell phone however and can't see the decal or other telltale details too well. Hopefully others can.

Alright, I'll start a new thread next time I need help. Thanks for your help, I'll wait until more people voice their opinions before even considering getting it. Were these Luftwaffe helmets only worn on like parade? Thanks,

No..the Luftwaffe had lots of combat, flak, para, etc. troopers

Luftwaffe are common. For this helmet in the price needs to be very good

On my PC now. Your gonna hate this answer but....we need better photos. These can't be enlarged and we need a straight on shot of the decal....

Slapping on a decal always raises the value. So you just can't be sure.

My gut tells me the was just a very poorly stored helmet but I can't say with certainty.

I tried to enhance. Doesn't work.

Maybe those with much keener eyes and a stronger knowledge of decals can opine on the original photos...
