Reverse decal configured transitional Police helmets, especially on droop bill shells, are very rare. I had been looking for one for a long time and when Pablo first posted his I PM'ed him to ask if he would sell it. He decided to keep it and I continued my search. I was lucky enough to find this one earlier this year. Jim G.

Here are 2 more. The first is a standard M42 with the expected bordered bird, an hkp62, lot # 3599. The second is an M35, SE66 shell, lot # 3873. This one was reissued with a brush applied coat of black paint and has a bordered bird as well. The interesting thing about this one is that the decals, which were heavily lacquered, are set back behind the vents, as is sometimes seen on beaded examples. And no, the liner is not a Norwegian replacement, it is sweat stained (and maybe was treated by a prior collector) but is original and TR period applied. Check out the reinforced aluminum banded liner. Double click on the picture to enlarge it. It has black paint from when the reissue paint was template applied from the 11:00 to the 2:00 positions on the band. Cheers, Jim G.

This may be pushing the limit, but it IS a combat helmet (albeit a captured Czech piece), reissued to the Police, so here it is. Jim G.

Last one for today, an M16 Austrian Berdorfer shell with a killer exterior, but a damaged liner. Cheers, Jim G.

Fantastic helmets, Jim, all of them! I'm looking for a nice M42 but haven't found one I like just yet.

Thanks Todd. I have a few more that I haven't posted yet - an M35 Heer to Police, a standard M35 with unbordered bird, an M35 with a bordered bird, an M40 with an unbordered adler, and another M16 Austrian. If I can pull them out of storage this weekend I will add them as well. Cheers, Jim G.
