    Default SOS Helmet Upgrade

After two days of searching the aisles of the SOS and missing out on a number of fantastic helmets (and being rather pissed about it), I found this little gem in the very last hour. I already have an M35 Luftwaffe with a first pattern decal, but I wanted to upgrade that one since it did not come with the liner or strap and I had to add them to complete the look, so I bought this one. I knew the one I was upgrading was also an ET. That's cool but no big deal. Then I get home and get quite the surprise.

    This is the SOS helmet

I unknowingly bought the upgrade not realizing the lot number was the same as the helmet I already had. Score! Guess now I will be keeping them both...and better records of my lot #'s for future shows

    Hope you enjoyed.

    Sincerely,
    The proud father of twins

That is incredibly lucky (or unlucky depending on how you look at it). In other news, I just realised your name is "helmet-one" and not "helmet-tone" which makes a lot more sense. I guess there were some great finds at the SOS. I'm really upset about not going this year after seeing such great stuff. regardless of the twinning, this is a great helmet in it's own right. Great find!

I prefer smaller size helmets, all details and decals looks better on them

Wow! what a great set of twins. I love these first pattern Double decals and to have two is awesome, they look good together.

Excellent find, for sure! Is it just the lighting, or are the liner pins different? One looks flat and the other looks domed?

As ever with twins , one is better looking than the other which could cause some friction in a few years time! Great looking 1st pattern M35 Luftwaffe helmets Todd, Leon.
