    Default straight leg luftwaffe dd

Hello, this is my first lid for a little while, i couldn't resist this one when i was offered it as i don't have an early pattern luft.
This helmet is untouched to the point of neglect, as it was left laying on the tricolour, leaving that side in almost relic condition.
The rest of the helmet displays very well and the decal is not too bad considering it has taken a few hits.
The best part is the fact that the lid is marked to the same unit on the chinstrap and in the dome. Its hard to read but i think its
St. L. FL. kdo 4 1939 FL b which i assume is a flak battery.

this helmet is all 1939 dated on the dome, chinstrap and reinforced liner band.it is also named to W Fisher on the liner

It is an ET66 lot 4163

    regards Paul

Looks like a nice unit marked helmet. Shame about the tri-color side, as I bet it would have been a very nice helmet but for that damage.

That is a nice early "droop tail" you have there!! The tri-colour side may have taken a beating, but it is much better than "relic" condition, nice find. Leon.

Still a nice lid Paul despite the damage to the Tri side.
That early bird is still in great nick
I could certainly live with it!

Rough and ready, and most importantly, real. Nice one, Jim G.
