Strange liner (czech?)

Article about: Hello, I would like more opinions on this size 64 liner which was in a czech CD late war M42 EF helmet. It's definitely old and worn, when I took it off it was very dusty and clearly hadn't

The leather is not stitched to the felt around the circumference of the liner?
Maybe I'm blind, please correct me if I'm wrong.

Felt isn't stitched to the leather, yeah

That's interesting, might be one reason for the thumbs down on stitches being wartime?
Don't know if felt was installed this way then, hope to find out.

Its some sort of post war or repo liner. Felt should be stitched to the leather. The inner band should have a band spring suspension which is missing. Its not WW2 German, thats for sure.
