Paint IN the rust pits is an indication of an old repaint, now weathered some more.
I could be wrong but doesn't fill me with warmth.

Try as I might, I cannot spot any paint in the pitting. I'm no expert on these helmets, but it looks pretty good to my (untrained) eye.

I would hate to say yes or no based on photographs, but I'm not sure on the "hk" factory marking to be honest. I'm sure more clued-up members will have more insight though
Hi, well the decal "type" is close to the SE/hkp one known as the Champaign decal, but I am not that keen on it and from these images I would not take a chance. Ask the seller for good straight on images taken in day light. If he refuses you have your answer! Leon.
