Article about: Hello, Here is rather interesting helmet in my collection, it’s an Austrian M-16. It was transitioned in 1934, and then refurbished again in the 1940+ time period. It had an updated liner in

    Hello,
    Here is rather interesting helmet in my collection, it’s an Austrian M-16. It was transitioned in 1934, and then refurbished again in the 1940+ time period. It had an updated liner installed and the shell was repainted which ended up covering both decals. The stahelm then had an Ed Strache decal applied.

    Very nice Tranny with some history! Love the thick brushstrokes with a hint of feldgrau showing through.

    Looks like it may have had a name label in the back at some stage too!

    So a re-issue and a Transitional all rolled up into one package. Very nice! Like it.
