unusual colour helmet???

the paint has been applied very badly the brush strokes are very crude and as a result have not covered the entire helmet
the colour is unusual because it is not correct it looks more like decorating paint.....

This was how the helmet looked when i recieved it, so i started to sand it, this green appeared under the black, i have stopped work on it, to find out if any units wore this olive green colour on their helmets?
The brush strokes you refer to, are sand paper marks

Post war repainted, as Tom posted earlier, though I thought that was the case when you first showed this helmet when it was black and when it was green, but trying to give you a reasoned opinion. Often messed with helmets get repainted again and again and again.......

The white is primer and/or filler, IMO
