Classic Canadiana at it's finest Doug
This should make for some awsome photo's from around the world I can see a little rivalry brewing for the most outlandish photo. Me thinks this is going to be good for a laugh or two.

a technical ??
how do we go about deciding which order we send the helmet in
and what about addreses
i for one dont know yet what my A.P.O address will be in Iraq
ill do my best to get a pic of it by the crossed swords in bagdad though
and god forbid it should get lost in the post,,, registered mail perhaps??
cheers ian
That should be easy enough to organise, when it's ready to go I'll get a list of the UK addresses and keep track of it as it goes. Then do the same for Europe etc, planning it out with a map should work nicely..... The thread will be updated as it goes so keeping track and planning the next trip should be simple enough. I might even get a wall map and plot it out! Registered mail would be the best way to do it I agree. If anyone gets a particularly harsh postage charge during this game let me know and I'll help out. I'm properly excited about this now, I was looking for a shell on ebay all night with a few possibles turning up.
Doug do you have any tips for the organisation of it from the GHW projects?
Sounds fun, count me in!
Cheers, Ade.

Count me in deffo and maybe a pic of me wearing it by the liver buildings
cheers Ronnie
this is a great idea, and i think every one is going to enjoy it
from my side
posting A.P.O to iraq is simple BUT apo mail has to go through the US ,, so posted in the uk ,it will go to the US and then to Iraq ,, it takes time ,and it MUST have a customs declaration on it, and the senders name and address
this lid will end up being the most traveld german helmet in history(and the most photographed LOL)
i think , it is going to be a never ending journey,, well a couple of years at least
is there a cut of date , after which members making 1000 posts are not involved
other wise it will be a never ending journey ,, and no space left on the lid ,,,,,,,,, we could start again with another lid i supose
cheers ian
allso may i sugest that a 1/4" plywood box be made for its travels with some foam to protect it
i dont believe a cardboard box would survive the many journeys it must take
cheers ian
