What!!!!!

Article about: What remains of this helmet looks good, BUT why cut it off at the bead? Skull cap?? It looks to have been cut with some precision. Any thoughts please?

    Interesting, perhaps the lower part was damaged.

    Well, its a 3 piece Gladiator helmet which was made up of a top dome section swaged / spot welded to the lower front and back skirts ( which in turn were welded to each other ) so it has not been "cut" just disengaged from the lower sections ..... but how without damaging the bead is the question....
    " I'm putting off procrastination until next week "

    Maybe it were modified so wearer could have some form of ear protection quickly attached.

    Doesn't look much different then those beanie sized motorcycle helmets I see people wearing (personally I wear a full faced helmet...I'm too pretty to smash my face on the ground )
