What have I got????

Yesterday I bought a black M40 German helmet from an antiques store. The owner said it was an SS helmet....money back guaranteed. It has a partial decal of the early SS rune on one side and an almost complete party shield on the other side. I suspect the decals may not be original (see pic). It does not have the typical M31 liner, but has a liner with 10 flaps with "56/58" stamped in red on one of the flaps (see pic). Can any help me as to what I have?

Nothing about it is right. Liner has no holes, liner band is something other than German, decal is a terrible fake.

looks like a post war german police helmet from the 70s whit fake decal and fake paint on it, bring it back before the seller runs away

Thanks for the input. Looks unanimously fake. I took it back to the dealer and got my money back ($350). He still maintains it is authentic and says he can even get more money than what he let me have it for.
