Leave it. Your more likely to damage the decal in the process. Or as Doug stated, have a pro do it.

Griffinz, it is probably EF64 and the lot number is weird. Post a picture of the stamps when you get it.

An ET stamp mark would indicate that the lid was manufactured by Eisenhuttenwerke of Thale. They also used the maker mark ckl.

There ought to be a lengthly exam, and once this exam has been passed,
a 'proficiency licence' issued to these bums who misuse and abuse
