Bad eyes and a small cell phone screen. I thought at first on the underside I saw "lines". But now looking on a PC I was horrible mistaken.....

Another winter camo from my collection:
M40 Q64 Lotnr: 6666, (i like the number).
Very rare to find original winter helmet in this condition.
It´s nice to show it on this thread.

Has the liner been cleaned? Seems spotless.

I don't see any signs of leather cleaning. Normally a cleaner of whatever type would darken the leather or make it greasy or waxy or shiny. This looks dry & unmessed with IMO. The tie string might be a replacement...

Liner band is B&C Berlin and dated 1941.

This was found in a town called Sedan in France, near to the Ardennes National Forest.
