Woodwork Heer SD
Here is an interesting helmet. I just got this one early last week from Karl Kithier. One of his friends pulled it out of the woodwork a few months ago in Wayne, Michigan. I fell in love with this helmet when I first saw it, I had to have it! What particularly drew my attention was the personalization, and the Czech chinstrap. It is an ET64. Hope you guys like it.
I also got this RAD dagger a few days ago. I'll post it in the Dagger forum and add a link if anybody wants to see it.
regards,
Corey

Re: Woodwork Heer SD
Lovely honest looking lid
I'm a sucker for seeing the brush strokes in the paint, and the personalization is an added bonus.
Congrats on your pick up

Thanks guys, it is nice to know I can show these items to collectors who appreciate them
This helmet belonged to Private Lüdemann of Nachschub-Bataillon 814, attached to the First Army of Army Group G on the Western Front.

Re: Woodwork Heer SD
I'm not into helmets as such but that is a great looking example and the kind of lid I would like to see in my collection. Nice find!
Looking for LDO marked EK2s and items relating to U-406.....

Re: Woodwork Heer SD
Good helmet. Honest amount of wear but not too beat up.
