    Hi this shell is no way Hungarian made look at the rivet holes on it ,the Hungarian shell has them more to the side of the shell as in your photo and also the hanger on the rear even if the hanger has beent removed there would be the holes where it was fixed , this shell is German made ,if no stamps it could be a m55 shell as Finland brought helmets also from Germany post war if marked then a M40 shell

    I see what you are saying now. You're right. The markings in the interior will show if it is one of the Quist made M55s or an M40, I can't see any markings from the photos provided, so I'm leaning toward the former.
