Sorry this was a combo find & by the way it was told to me by the previous owner they were taken from the same soldier. This is the son of the veteran talking so who knows right.

The helmet was kept in a shed.........at least they kept the gas mask in a better place.

So far I have not spotted the mark, the inside is kinda rusty in the areas that would normally show it...I really don't want to scrape/alter the inside...any suggestions?
