    The leather of the liner is not original to my mind. It ought to be whitish leather. Of course gone rather blackish by this time, after 90 years.

    I think it looks rather new as well.

    But the leather can be found in brown. Have a look at the Camo M16 I posted to see good condition 92 year old leather.

    cheers Ade if the liner turns out to be a fake is it easy to take it off with out messing up the helmet?

    Hi Gar, yes very easy to remove it from the liner band. Talking of which, I think that may well be bad too, as it appears to be rather shiney and most likey made from alloy. All you need to do is take the whole thing out.

    cheers Ade i will ask the seller for some photos of the liner band cos if the band is bad to I think I may pass on it. its 160 without postage?

    The whole liner band and pads are new replacements in my opinion.
