Hi, and welcome to the forum!

Something does seem amiss? Does the end of the tang show signs of tampering?

    Cheers, Ade.

As Ade says something is amiss. With what I'm going to describe as the sword having a large wire with a right hand twist. Opposite it there should be a contra-rotating same size large wire with a left hand twist - and none of the smaller straight wires. Best Regards, Fred
