The guard is certainly a reproduction. The wire wrapping looks somewhat good though. Does the blade not have a makers mark under the swas? Hard to tell from these photos but I would surmise it might be somekind of mixed original and reproduction parts sword. Very strange indeed. These go for $400 to $600 depending on condition.

No makers mark, double stamped swastika. Wire wrapping very shallow twist.
In my opinion not German made.

I have to agree with the others I'm afraid Steve, it appears to be a bit of a pup. Take a look at the pictures here of a genuine one on Paul Hogle's site, Lakesidetrader. Note the finer quality and crispness of the decoration and overall finish in general. As SteveR points out the eagle is a major red flag, that would never have passed Q.C.
