Recently acquired SS police sword, although some research says its an NCO sword. Manufacturer is WKC. No runes on sword hilt.

Nice Police OFFICER's degen, with actually what looks to be a fireman's dress bayonet knot wrapped on the D ring. These WKC are desirable because of those runic stamped blades, and the quality of these swords produced by this edged weapon firm.

Very nice sword. The knot looks like Fire Police but I don't recall ever seeing a all black cloth strap. I have had some military knots with cloth straps but every Fire Police Knot I have had was leather with silver wire strips.
could it be post WW2 fireman portepee ??? ... it doesn't look like anything WW 2 i saw so far
