    Who owned Sword # 1695 as I have had it in my possession for may years as it was passed down from my Father in law who was at the Battle of the Bulge where he found it in a bombed out building? It is in excellent condition !

    Hello and welcome to the forum!
    The numbers you are talking about are not issue numbers, they are model numbers and I daresay that many German officers owned one of this model number.
    Please post photos of your sword so that we collectors may also appreciate it.
    I will move your post and start a new thread for you to do so.

    KP..if the sword is still in your possession could you please take a few photos of it...upload it to your computer and post it here. The google link is useless. Please do so to avoid thread closure for lack of data . Regards Larry
