Sword 119 (91) Maufactured by F W Holler. The trade mark comprises, in a vertical oval ribbon , the names "*F.W.Holler* Solingen" encompassing a thermometer.

a. Hilt. Cast in gilt brass, the backstrap is attached directly to the blade tang. The grip is of wood with a plastic cover and a brass wire wrap.
b. Obverse Langet. A pair of crossed sabres superimposed over oak branches and leaves on a plain outlined shield.
c. Reverse langet. A knight's helmet with mantle surmounting a shiels flanked by a patterned design on a plain outlined shield. This particular design is usually associated with langets of the WKC Firm, see a small variety of this style of langet on Page 2 of this thread.
d. Pommel. Lion head with red stone eyes.
e. Blade. Plated steel with single full size fullers.
f. Scabbard. Standard pattern black steel scabbard with single ring suspension fitting and the rectangular suspension loop to rear.
g. Rarety. Scarce.

b. Obverse Langet. A Military Eagle on a plain outlined shield.
c. Reverse langet. A plain outlined shield.
d. Pommel. A patterned dove head.
e. Blade. Plain plated steel with double full size fuller.
f. Scabbard. Standard black steel scabbard with a single ring suspension fitting and a loop to the reverse side of the scabbard.
g. Rarety. Quite scarce.

d. Pommel. Lion head with red stone eyes.
e. Blade. Plated steel with single full size fullers.
f. Scabbard. Standard pattern black steel scabbard with single ring suspension fitting and rectangular suspension loop to rear.

Hi Rene, Thank you for the compliment and like you and wifie, I too like lion heads but the shame is, most of the best and most interesting blades are on the plain silver dove head swords and sabres. In their scabbards they are quite boring but out, they are quite beautifull. Tell me, what other TR gear do you have? and do you have any for trade etc?? Why do you live down there??? You are too far away!!

Sword 122 (61) Maufactured by the firm of E & F Horster (Horstator, Solwa, Famexi and Monika), the Trade Mark is a vertically aligned sword point down through the initiats "HHS". This sword is a TR Navy Officer's pattern. There are two basic patterns of this sword, fixed and folding guard. The fixed guard sword has a basket style hilt incorporating a cartouche on which is a representation of an early styled fouled anchor. The folding guard type is similar however the cartouche can be folded back against the sword grip. There are many variations to the designs of the hilts of both patterns. Additionally, higher quality and presentation swords tend to include greater hilt decoration and etched blades.

a. Hilt. Cast in gilded brass with the backstrap attached directly to the blade tang. The grip is made from an ivoey like materiel or off white plastic and has a brass wire wrap. There is a small moveable flap which forms the reverse side of rhe guard and when closed, locks the sword into its scabbard.
b. Obverse Langet. None.
c. Reverse langet. None.
d. Pommel. Lion Head.
e. Blade. plain polished steel with a pipe or quill back spine.
f. Scabbard. Standard Naval pattern leather scabbard with double ring suspension and drag, all produced in gilded brass. There is no loop to the reverse side of the scabbard, however there is a stud which holds the reverse hilt fitting.
g. Rarety. Quite rare.

Sword 123 (10) Maufactured by Maufactured by the firm of E & F Horster (Horstator, Solwa, Famexi and Monika), the Trade Mark is a vertically aligned sword point down through the initiats "HHS" within a vertical oval ribbon with the wording "-E & F Horster- Solingen". This may be an export model sword as it has a very unusual triangular shaped blade without fullers. In addition to the trade mark, it also has the word "Germany" stamped into the blade.

a. Hilt. Cast in nickel plated metal. The backstrap is attached using a pair of rivets. The grip is of wood with a plastic cover and a brass wire wrap.
b. Obverse Langet. Plain.
c. Reverse langet. Plain.
d. Pommel. Plain dove head.
e. Blade. Plated steel without fullers and none attributed etching.
f. Scabbard. Standard pattern black steel scabbard with single ring suspension fitting and a rectangular suspension loop to rear.
g. Rarety. Rare.

Sword 124a (192) This sword is a Model M1889 Prussian Infantry Officers sword by Ernst Pack & Sohne, PO & Co, POCO. The trade mark comprises a blacksmith wealding a hammer. There are two basic patterns of this sword, fixed and folding guard. The fixed guard has three vertical guard bars covering the knuckles whilst the folding guard type only employs two. However, there are likely to be variations. Additionally, higher quality and presentation swords tend to include far more hilt decoration. The Imperial Prussian Royal Cypher is positioned centrally on the grip. With a silver hilt, this sword could be a buyer's preference or a reserve force sword etc?

a. Hilt. Cast in nickel plated steel, the hilt comprises seven parts,
(1) Oval tang nut.
(2) Pommel cap.
(3) Knuckle bow and cross guard. On the fixed guard model, this item includes the cartouche.
(4) Cartouche. Not a separate item on the fixed guard sword.
(5) Furrule
(6) Finger support. This is usually an optional item so may/may not be present. In this case present.
(7) Grip assembly. This includes the wooden former, cover and wire wrap. In this case plastic with a brass wire wrap.
b. Obverse Langet. None.
c. Reverse langet. None.
d. Pommel. Plain oval tang nut and cap assembly.
e. Blade. Plain, plated with double full size fullers.
f. Scabbard. Black leather with nickel plated brass furniture and double ring suspension fittings. There is no loop to the reverse side of the scabbard.
g. Rarety. Rare.

Sword 125 (39) Manufactured by the firm of Carl kaiser & Co, the trade mark on the blade of this sword is a pair of crossed sabres superimposed over the initials "C K Co " and surmounted by a crown.

a. Hilt. Cast in gilded brass, the backstrap attached directly to the blade tang. The grip is of wood with black plastic covering and a brass wire wrap.
b. Obverse Langet. Crossed connon superimposed over an oak branch with leaves within a plain outlined shield.
c. Reverse langet. A large stylised shield shaped cartouche with a plain outlined shield.
d. Pommel. Lion head with red stone eyes.
e. Blade. Nickel plated steel with single full size fullers and unattributed etching.
f. Scabbard. Standard black steel scabbard with a single ring suspension fitting but without a loop to the reverse side of the scabbard. T
