My late father, a first generation Polish-American, served in the US Army in Europe during WW2. Among his artifacts I found what appears to be a Polish pin attached to a card from a hotel in Switzerland where he was on leave.

I have reviewed hundreds of items of Polish militaria on the web and have not been able to identify it.

On which forum should I post this for help? Photo uploaded.

    Thanks,

Hi Leonard, welcome to the forum!

We have one mega thread, just with Polish items. I would post it there, as all the forums Polish collectors will then get to see it. Sorry I cannot ID it myself.

    Cheers, Ade.

Thanks, Ade. I couldn't find a specific mega Polish thread so I posted it on the Western Allies thread.

Take a look at some of the other items I am working on identifying:

    More Souvenirs

I think the badge is from the Nazi labor organization, DAF. Does "Lieferant" on the reverse mean this was a badge of a civilian deliveryman?

The armband with the swastika in the shovel suggests another Nazi labor organization. Can you identify it further? If not, I'll post it.

    Leonard

I realise that this is an old thread, but just a reminder that we now have a very sucessful dedicated Polish forum.

    Cheers, Ade.

I'll repost it on the Polish Forum, thanks. Others think this is is a civilian rather than a military item.

I'll add some German items that I've not identified to that forum.

    Thanks, Leonard
