how do you link old threads with new threads?

Im not the best with laptops so can someone please explain how to link old threads with an up to date thread,cheers for your time.........

Hello Jake,
Go to the old thread, go to the top bar where it tells you the URL of the page you are on and right click, then copy. Go to your new thread, type whatever you like, hit enter to go to a new line, right click and paste. You can, if you like, hit enter and resume typing whatever else you like.
