Description: k98 bayonet frog and leather scabbard.
Mismatching serial numbers. Blade: 10704 e. Scabbard: 5025
Balde in fair condition with good cutting edge and point.
Light oxidation to the Pommel. Scabbard has virtually no rust but the surface is gunmetal grey.
Leather frog is cracking in places and stitching has come free at the back belt loop. Stud still fastens.
Rifle lug attachment catch still functions.
Finnial is missing.

This was bought in this condition at a yard sale two years ago and was probably a veteran souvenir - this would explain the battle-abused condition.
