Description: Here is a badly treated NSKK service dagger. The blade has a lot of pitting, and shows signs of both sharpening and polishing. The scabbard looks to have been repainted and the scabbard fittings look polished. The ball on the end of the scabbard is flattened. Did I say pitted? There is a fingerprint etched into the blade under the word 'Deutschland' - whoever handled this dagger treated it very poorly to say the least. Still, the scabbard screws are all there, if polished. This could even be a parts dagger, I don't know. Might be a starter piece for somebody on a limited budget. It is a poor orphan looking for a good home.
