Latvian ring recovered from the Narva Battlefields , very nice wear and Patina

Recovered from trenches near Hungerburg

Thanks Ade , interestingly despite the complete historical inaccuracy of some books that state that the Latvian SS Divisions fought at Narva they didn't but as Hungerburg was an old spa town on the Baltic coast and used by Army Group North as an R and R area it is probable that this guy was there recuperating and then got embroiled in the Narva fighting,

Actually it can easily also be pre 1941 era ring. Such patriotic rings were widely used also in Estonia. So maybe it does not have connection with WWII battles but was lost before WWII. Anyway - very nice find!

Could be pre 1941 certainly but it was found in trenches with other WW2 artifacts so probably has some connection with the Battles !!
