    Default Legion Condor Ring

    Obviously a luftwaffen soldiers souvenir reflecting his service in the legion condor - the ring reflects the luftwaffen eagle with a "LC"(Legion condor) and the number 88 which represents Fighter Group 88(Geschwader 88) which served in Spain. There is a maker mark on the ring. - this same type of ring is reflected in Roger Bender,s book Uniforms,Organization and History Legion Condor.

    These guys were the first modern mercenaries. I'm astonished by their feats in Spain. Except for the folly at Gurnica. Great ring Horst.
