Can't add much, besides that if there is a Rzm stamp on the interior of the ring, which this one appears to have, it is fake. Rings were never Rzm marked, at least that's always been my understanding.

You are correct: RZM marked rings are all bad.

Simply put, "Fake" is a copy of something that existed....and "Fantasy" is something that never did. Both are produced to deceive.

As said by most this ring is a fantasy,Some look,And i only mean LOOK ok,Others i've seen look terrible! I like rings of the 3rd.Reich and canteen ring's,etc.I have only seen two ORIGINAL Luftwaffe finger rings,One being rectangular and the other(mine)circular..With mine there are some tell tale sign's.I have NOT been able to compare the rectagular one for comparrison&"tell tale" sign's.
Concerning rings everything said as far as RZM,SS,BERLIN,etc. markings are ALL junk unless the SS is the main emblem on ring and ALOT of those are scary! HERES a pic of my LUFTWAFFE PILOT OBSEVER RING(marked 800 & a worn out(bad) makers mark i think!,Could be wishful thinging as it would be easier to I.D. )THANK'S ALL for listening(if you did ha ha)to my two cents worth,HAPPY HUNTING ALL!!!
This is a well known period pattern of the Frey Company, Pforzheim. Usually makers mark "F*".
But good fakes are around.
Better pics are a must!
