    Hello!

I bought this ring on tradera (swedish e-bay) for about 20 dollars.
There is no markings and I have a feeling that it can be a ring from maybe India.

I'm a beginner in the collector's world but I have learned that most of the rings is not from the Third Reich.

What do you think about it?
I'm sorry for the photos but I dont get any better.

Photos are awful but I think You have answered Your own questions regarding the ring.

This forum was fun so I can take better pictures tomorrow. Thank you for the reply.

By the way, where can I buy repro-rings from a safe website?
I looked on germanring.lv, is that site OK or do you guys have a better site?

Why repro.? A genuine ring in poor condition is a much better buy.It is probably not as expensive as You may be thinking either.

You have a point there. One problem is that i dont know where to look for rings and I'm afraid of being fooled.
I dont want to buy a ring that i think is legit and then get disappointed.

Your reply made me intrested in the real deal. Which are the best and most famous sites for real and legit stuff from the Third Reich?
That's maybe a hard question but I have to ask.

This ring you show is for sure no german 3. Reich period ring or pattern.
Its origin...hard to impossible to say.
Maybe a fantasy or, as still said, a Hindu pattern.

    German rings
If you want a fake for wearing germanring.lv isn`t the badest site.
Most of the patterns they sell are faked old german patterns in not bad quality for not so high prices.

Original rings....Meanwhile very hard to get and rather rare, but they are out altough much more than 90 % of the rings for selling are fakes, fantasy and trash. But again...real period rings are still around.

For a beginning collector best is showing good clear pics in a forum to get opinions before buying.

    Sorry, i forgot...
For example house of history, Kai Winkler, Germany, has some nice period rings, very high priced.
And still at a serios dealers you have to be careful. Sometimes they haven`t the knowledge and sell fakes too.

Outpost Flags might be another source of fake German rings.

But always post photos here first before buying. Kai Winkler might have pretty pictures (and high prices) but has been tainted with passing off fake items in the past. Always be careful regardless of who you deal with.
