    I recently aquired these two rings and would like to know more about them.

    Hi, JJD ! Welcome to the forum !

    The first makes me suspicious because of the extra 'loop' attached, so I think it is
    some type of repro or simply a 'skull ring' with no military bearing.

    The second one though, looks like a very nice WWI patriotic ring,
    which seems to have natural wear and age.

    I like it a lot !

    Thanks for your reply. i agree with you on the skull ring after taking a real close look at it with a 10x loop. The second ring is pretty solid.. Again thanks for the reply.

    Hi ... you may wish to contact Gaspare Bua as he has a book coming out soon dipecting hundreds of wartime rings. If you email him a photo of the rings he should be able to tell you one way or another. Here is his email address: gtbua@aol.com . I don't know if he is back from a trip to Poland so you may not receive an immediate reply. Let us know how you make out?
