Thumbs up Skull Ring - Unfamiliar Design?

Hello all, What does everyone think of this skull ring design? I can't seem to find much about it on the web or any of the other forums and I don't recall seeing it in any period adverts either. Can anyone verify that this is an original design (metal detecting find, period adverts etc.) or is it a fantasy piece? I'm sure the experts on here will be able to help me Cheers, skip01.

A couple of minutes with some sandpaper would have made a much more convincing fake .

Thanks for the response guys! So I guess this design did exist but, like nearly all third reich rings, it's a dud. Cheers, skip01.

It doesn't even look like silver....I wonder what piece of toxic waste the fakers made it out of...?

Found the fitting advert in my files.
It is part of a 1933 catalog.
