Solid silvers bring decent money, but the silverplates, as this one likely was, bring considerably less. If it was not damaged, it would be at most a hundred dollar ring, but the bent band could be a serious problem when trying to straighten it-it is quite likely it will crack. At the most, I would be looking to see this ring selling for in the $50 range.

Why sell it? It came on your path while detecting, why part with it for a few bucks??

I'm unsure about selling to be honest. I didn't have it up for sale or anything, just had an email from a member interested in it. I said to them i would have a think about selling it, and they suggested getting a value from the forum.

Hi odal, I'm not sure, its coming up under the bronze band on my detector, definitely not silver or gold. Possibly could be brass?
