I came across this ring...(haven't bought it yet) What do you think about it? I've totally no idea about these things

It is d.r.g.m. marked...but that can be faked aswell.

Looks like a "Delta International" 4th Reich ring from the 70's. I remember this exact ring in their catalogs.

Yes, you are right.

DRGM (Deutsches Reichs Gebrauchs Muster) is the "little brother" of a patent. It always only protects a mechanical feature not a design.
If you see this on a jewelry item it protects usual a kind of closure or somewhat similar.
On rings you will never see DRGM.
