Arthur...you need to post this in the Ring Section. Please ask a Moderator to move it there for you. As for the ring itself, I have to say that I'm not feeling too well about it. At best, it's an SS Canteen ring, but it's design is Very much close to a commonly known fake. Have you any other photos available of it? More of the Interior and the Edges as well? What is the known history-if any-of it? Where was it supposed to have come from? Are there any other markings on the interior?

Searching for anything relating to, Anton Boos, 934 Stamm. Kp. Pz. Erz. Abt. 7, 3 Kompanie, Panzer-Regiment 2, 16th Panzer-Division (My father)
The oakleaf-pattern of the band is well know from different rings of the wwII-period.
But all i have seen were made from brass and die struck.
This ring looks like a cast one....take a look at the deeper sections at the banddecor....pittings from casting.
The hallmark the ring has, should be austrian.
A ring i don`t like...sorry.

the ring on this site has a "835" content mark.....and a austrian import mark for "800" silver content...?????
There are several rings on that site that look questionable to me...
