If it was WWII German, why is it in English?

"West Wall" is the same in German as it is in English.

Was just about to say that, However there are lots of these on ioffer and various other auction places which leads me to think that this one is a dud.

Despite the appearance of silver hallmarks inside the shank, I'm not liking the looks of the metal inside much. It has the porous look of the dreaded Casting manufacture process, and as such is likely a pre-aged fake from Eastern Europe. It is a much copied design. It is, of course, difficult to tell from the blurry photos. To be more certain, if possible, a few more shots of the interior would help much-but only if close and in focus, naturally.

Agree on the fake patine, looks more grey than what I would expect to see on a silver ring.

Thank all of you. My doubts were justified.
