    Hello dear friends,
I want to sell my ring which was found in Karelia, but many "experts" can't see difference between fake and original and trying to ruin my ads. May be you can bring over?
    So, question ORGINAL or FAKE?

    Thank you!

    Period and well known pattern.
Some call it the "bighead" Westwall ring.
All that i have seen, i handeld a few of them, were palted brass like this one.
    No promblems with this.
Looks from the pics like a nice period one.

And yes, a lot of fakes of this pattern are around, but this Looks like a good one

I see nothing wrong with it. A shame the silver plate is only 50%, but it shows that it's authentic. A faker would likely have made it of solid silver.

A rare occurrence when collecting rings,Kenny!

A general rule of thumb when dealing with them is, the better material they are made of, the more dedications and internal engravings that you see, and the more impressive and grandiose the design you see-the less chance it has of being good. The majority of military worn rings were cheaply made out of low grade materials, and purchased by soldiers who seldom had time or money to have them engraved for anyone or anything inside them and were usually on a whole plain nondescript designs.
